Interlibrary Loan to Private Individuals

If you are looking for a document that you cannot order yourself, we will be happy to order it for you. Interlibrary loan is possible for media from Switzerland and abroad that cannot be ordered via the SLSP courier.

The person placing the order must be registered with the library network SLSP and be resident in Switzerland.

By placing an interlibrary loan order, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions, and to pay the costs incurred. This also applies if the ordered item is no longer required due to a longer delivery period.

Lending periods and restrictions of use are based on the regulations of the supplying library.
This can mean:

• You may only consult the literature you have ordered in the reading room of the special collection at ZHB Sempacherstrasse.
• Copies or microforms can be supplied instead of the ordered book.
• The lending period may be shortened (1-2 weeks instead of the regular 4 weeks).

• from Europe (excl. UK): 2-5 weeks
• from UK and overseas: 2-5 weeks

• From Switzerland: each document CHF 12.00
• From abroad: Europe actual costs (min. CHF 24.00), UK and overseas actual costs (min. CHF 36.00)

 Digitisation

• From Switzerland: CHF 5.00 per article and per 20 pages
• From abroad: electronic delivery CHF 8.00 per 20 pages and paper delivery CHF 10.50 per 20 pages

If there are extraordinary expenses, additional fees will be charged.
