The Historical Abstracts database is one of the most important reference works in the field of history. It lists journal articles, essays from anthologies, monographs and dissertations on the history of all countries (except the USA and Canada) from 1450 to the present day.

The research portal historicumSEARCH searches subject bibliographies, subject sections of relevant library catalogs and full-text data sources and primarily lists historical research literature. Special research offers from historicum.net, such as the Bibliography of German History, are also integrated into historicumSEARCH. In terms of content, the portal is geographically comprehensive and focuses primarily on the Middle Ages.

The RI OPAC is a freely accessible literature database of all disciplines for medievalist research in the entire European language area, which takes into account all specialist disciplines and is characterized in particular by the indexing of non-independent articles from a large number of journals and anthologies, even of the most remote provenance. It includes specialist literature from the 16th century onwards that deals with the period from late antiquity to the Reformation.
