Borrowing Notebooks

You may borrow notebooks for conducting literature searches, creating documents, using reference management programmes and much more.

To borrow a notebook, you must register in advance and present a library card. The notebooks may only be used on the library premises and may therefore not be taken outside.

The lending period is one day (during library opening hours). The notebooks must be returned no later than 15 minutes before the library closes.

Office and Zotero are pre-installed. Independent software installation is permitted within the terms of use (see above).

At the sites Sempacherstrasse and ZHB Uni/PH building, printouts can be picked up at the information desk for CHF 0.10 per copy (A4, b/w). Colour prints are not possible.

Printing from lendable notebooks is not possible at the HSLU locations. In the self-service portal of the HSLU IT Service Desk you will find more information about the printing options at those sites.

Accessories such as a mouse, power cable, headphones and external DVD drives may be borrowed at various libraries (day use). USB sticks can be purchased for CHF 7.50.
